Dr Selwyn Edwards BDS

Dental Surgeon

Selwyn qualified in 1983 from Cardiff Dental school and has worked in the NHS and private sector.

He has a special interest in minimal cosmetic dentistry and is a certified provider of both the Inman Aligner and 6 month smiles teeth straightening systems and has extensine experience of these systems. Selwyn’s philosophy is to create naturally beautiful smiles with minimal cosmetic dentistry, . This involves straightening teeth with the latest revolutionary ‘Inman Aligner’ removable brace or the ‘6 Month Smiles’ straightening system, followed by ZOOM! Whitening, and composite bonding to resolve any imperfections.

He is passionate about making patients own natural teeth as beautiful as possible without invasive crown and veneer work.

When Selwyn isn’t restoring teeth he likes to get out on his bike or play a round of golf when his practice manager will let him.

As a local man he is keen to provide high quality dentistry to his community

Dr Stephen Kelso BDS, MFDS RCPS

Stephen qualified from Queens University Belfast in 1997 with distinctions. He completed his Vocational Training in Belfast prior to his appointment at University Hospital Aintree / Liverpool University Dental Hospital where he began his oral and maxillofacial training in 1998. Shortly after this he began placing and restoring implants in both private practice and the hospital setting. He gained membership to the Royal College of Surgeons (Glasgow) in 2000 and followed this in 2002 by achieving the SAAD standard in intra-venous sedation.

Stephen has studied at Dental implant Master-Classes throughout Britain, Europe and America in advanced implant techniques such as sinus grafting and lifting, guided bone regeneration, bone grafting, implants in the aesthetic region and smile design with implants.

Stephen is a mentor for the world renowed ‘Strauman Dental Implant System’ and for the postgraduate students undertaking the MSc in Dental Implantology at Salford University. He is the Clinical Director of Liverpool Implant Centre.

Stephen welcomes referrals for surgical dentistry with or without intravenous sedation and any extractions with intravenous sedation. He would also be happy to accept referrals for all aspects of implant dentistry for: treatment planning, implant placement, restoration and continual care. Referring practitioners are welcome to be present for any stage of implant treatment.

Corrin Hickerton

Corrin is an associate dentist at Rossett Dental Care. She qualified in 2002 from Sheffield University, and has been working in practice in Chester since then. She joined us part time in 2013, and we are delighted she has now increased to a full time position.

In addition to general dentistry she has a special interest in cosmetic treatments such as tooth whitening, white fillings, veneers, crowns and bridgework. She has also trained in facial rejuvenation treatment [Botox and Dermal Fillers].

Jack Pilkington-Jones

Jack qualified from Cardiff Dental School in 2018 and has been part of our Rossett Dental Care team since. Jack joined the practice in 2018, and we are extremely pleased to celebrate that Jack is now an Associate Dentist. He prides himself on having a calm and kind manner and providing the best possible care for all patients. Jack has a particular interest in the care for anxious patients and as part of his continuous professional development he would like to specialise in sedation. In Jacks spare time he enjoys playing Golf and Squash and our team are more than happy to confirm that he is a great baker- his brownies are second to none!

Dominic Smith

Dom is the newest addition to the practice, having joined us in September 2022 from Liverpool University. He works with both NHS and private patients and prides himself on his bedside manner and in particular working with dental-phobic patients. He also enjoys working on dentures and other removable prostheses. Outside of dentistry Dom enjoys running and squash, but is yet to beat Jack the dentist at squash!

I pride myself on regularly attending courses to keep up to date with the latest dental developments. I completed a 3-day periodontal master class in Manchester in 2017. I was awarded Test Drive hero under the dental hygiene programme of Oral B in June 2018 for the Northwest and attended a one-day meeting in Birmingham with Hygienists from around the country. I get great satisfaction from providing patients with the skills and knowledge that will enable them to maintain their teeth and implants. I have a particular interest in non surgical periodontal treatment. In my opinion Dentistry can only be successful with excellent home care. I particularly enjoy being part of a team and I get great satisfaction from having a significant role to play in improving the oral health of my patients

Danielle Jones

Danielle is our practice manager who deals with the day to day running of the practice. She is also a qualified dental nurse and before becoming practice manager, worked with our Implant Specialist. Any questions about the treatment, she will have the answers.

Coral Williams

Coral has been a valuable member of the team since 2016, and became a fully qualified Dental Nurse in April 2018. Coral has expanded her role into assisting our Implant Specialist and is enjoying the new challenge.

Toni Trickett

Toni is currently completing her Dental Nurse training and is keen to complete her qualification. She has fitted in with the team brilliantly and is enjoying the new challenges her role is providing.
